In December of 2002, the Webster Police Department recieved a new 2003 Ford Expedition to replace the 1997 model. It was decided by the town to transfer the old vehicle to the Webster Rescue Squad to be used for pulling trailers, winter storm duties (cutting trees and assisting medical personnel), and performing duties such as vehicle lock out response and other calls that do not require a rescue truck. That will save the town money by reducing wear and tear on our larger and much more expensive rescue trucks. This vehicle, although it is 6 years old, is in very good shape and has never been involved in an accident. I feel that this is a tribute to the Police Department, that they care so well for their equipment.

As part of the project, the paint for the vehicle was donated, the light bar is on loan from Chief Jolda, and the Gold Leaf Lettering was paid for by the WRS Members Association. The front brush guard and winch were both completely paid for and installed by the members association. The Webster Rescue Squad would like to thank all who made this truck conversion possible.

The photos below show the RSU in its various stages of conversion.
