Hybrid Safety/Awareness Training - 10/26/05
The Webster Rescue Squad along with several other area departments attended a Hybrid Car Safety and Awareness Training presented by Toyota Motor Corp. and held at Tri-State Toyota Dodge in Dudley. The presentation included explanations and specifications of how the hybrid systems work in the Toyota models as well as what to lookout for and how to attack an extrication or fire suppression involving one of these new types of vehicles. Other agencies attending the class were Webster Fire, Dudley Fire, Oxford Fire, Douglas Fire, Southbridge Fire, Southbridge Police, Worcester Fire, Community CT Fire, Bungay CT Fire, Muddy Brook CT Fire, and Putnam CT fire, among others.
